I want to really express how powerful journaling is, and why anybody out there that wants to be effective in the world should use it. What I use to journal is what is called a gratitude journal.
Here is what it looks like -
Many of the great minds like Einstein and Leonardo Da Vinci kept journals - a creative necessity. People like Tim Ferris use it as a place to clarify thinking, and get a clear view of goal. I would like to keep this very short - but also effectively inspire readers to use this and develop a simple habit that really improves productivity and happiness.
The reason I use what is called a gratitude journal, is to remind myself to sit and reflect upon things I am grateful for every morning. And write them down sometimes in the journal. Especially as a young person, people tend to over look what they already have and this can seriously hurt mindfulness and happiness. You want to keep things in perspective and attain the true power of GRATITUDE. Seriously... just simply sitting and celebrating to yourself in your thoughts what you are grateful for can really root you and make you extremely happy for the rest of the day. Think about your loved ones, what good thing happened during the day, a meal you are looking forward to... anything! This really keeps things in perspective and plants a seed of optimism in you for the day. On the other hand, if anything annoying or bad happens to you during the day, you will remember to keep things in perspective.
The second part to journaling, is to write down all the things you want to accomplish for the day. This is extremely helpful to keep yourself accountable, and feels nice to cross off objective by objective! Try to prioritize the most important tasks and get them done. Don't beat yourself up for not completing some tasks, there is always tomorrow!
Stay cheerful my friends!
Thanks for reading.

Awesome post! I'll definitely have to try out journaling - never even thought about doing it before.
Cheers
