Hi Steemians,

If you are a content creator (Blogger, Video Creator, Vlogger, Writer) then this post is going to teach you some important facts about types of content that last longer.

Good vs Bad doesn't refer to the quality of content, But we are simply talking about the Long Lasting importance of a content.

Let's take a look at example 1:

1.JPG

This is one of my post which i published earlier. Even though it has made a good amount of money but, Is it a good Content for long term?
A Big NO.

It's simple because no one i going to read my crypto currency analysis of specific day or week after that time has passed. So, It's a bad type of content in terms of it's life.

Let's take a look at the second example:

2.JPG

This is a great example of long lasting content because this type of informative posts cannot get out dated due to time.

However informative post are not always long lasting. For example: If i made a tutorial on How to Shutdown Windows 10?. This is going to be good but not that much because after few months or years we will see a new version of windows in the market and windows 10 is going to be outdated.

Examples of good content are, Health related content, Fun/Comedy, Inspirational content and anything identical

Examples of Bad Content are, Daily analysis, weather updates, News feeds, etc

The short term content might be interesting and can attract people but a long terms content is like a fixed deposit which will always keep earning audience for you like an autopilot system.

Note: If you already own a blog or channel and already focusing on specific content then don't worry about good or bad. The internet is full of people and you will find your target audience, what really matters is your content should be based on your own interest.

This post is exclusively for people who are willing to start their own content creation. They might overview different things out of their own interest in order to Start a Good Content service for long term success.

I see “bad content” in terms of length of time AND poorly written, shallow blogs be hugely rewarded though.

Well!
Steem ecosystem is designed in such a way that the rewards purely depends on the type of followers and upvotes you get.
In simple words, 1000 minnow's upvotes are smaller then 1 whale's upvote.
It's always important to build up a mixed audience in order to earn healthy rewards.

Thanks for the advice!!! I’ll work on building a bigger and various audience.

That's some useful information mate. I think that is one of the problems with a 7 day reward system. There's little encouragement to create long lasting content at this stage unless you want to load it up with products you sell, affiliate links or similar.

It would make sense to have a longer reward period but with staged pay-outs. So every 7 days over a period of 3 months or so you receive payouts for you post.

At least then we'd be motivated to create longer lasting content.

Thankyou. I agree with you but the amount of reward earned on steemit in 7 days is greater then what we earn on other platform within months.
And we have all the options to share our post where ever we like.

Even though we cannot earn money after 7 days but the long lasting content is still perfect because it will keep attracting new followers.

I understand your point, but I don't think you analysis is bad content as you stated. I believe that is subjective. You offered highly valuable content at that moment. Information does not last forever as you stated. I believe information should be looked at more of its value then amount of work or time put into it. Someone can spend hours on a blog post, but provide absolutely no value. Someone may take 5 seconds to prepare a blog post, but have a powerful message or information to give to individuals.

Just my thought process on it!

It's right what you say, Long-lasting post will work in an autopilot system. It will keep attracting people even though time has passed. Good post bro!
