Gnarly leaves and bonus photobombers

in succulents •  6 years ago

I finally got my hands on a succulent I've wanted for a long time: Adromischus marianae var herrei. This is one of the seeds that I sowed but the seedling didn't survive so I was pleased to get one, they are rare in cultivation because they can be difficult to grow. One of those that likes water but rots easily, so it will probably end up as a windowsill plant in lots of quartzite gravel.

Of course, no photography session is complete without a photobomber. Ol blue eyes himself, Toffee. He gets all shy when the camera is on him and you can never get pictures of his eyes. So I will just have to live with the fact that he has a dustbin growing out of his head in this picture

Are blue eyes common in cats in South Africa?

Only if they have some siamese in them, I suppose

Okay, so same as here.

Good beautiful cat. His glance reminds him that this is a little tiger.

Toffee doesn't mess with the plants?

No

Hermosa planta suculenta y hermoso gato también.

What a cute face!! Stole the post :p

He's a very photogenic boy. I love those big fat tomcat faces myself

That's a odd one; very bumpy on the upper parts.

hahaha Toffee is a cutie; he looks a little dazed; probably didn't realise you were taking a photo of him til it was too late.

The dazed look is his default setting

Nice but strange looking plant with crocodile skin! The car looks very serious! Is he a cat philosopher?!

All cats are philosophers 😉

Congratulations on your purchase, super!
The cat, of course handsome, matchless!
But, there is no Siamese blood in it.

Definitely some Siamese. Nothing like a show cat but a siamese point colouring in his tabby

:-))
