Can succulents bloom in winter?

Greetings dear community, today I want to share with you an amazing event that happened to one of my succulent plants.

At this moment we are in the middle of winter. The days are very cold, and there are days when the fog covers everything, so the feeling of cold is greater. Therefore, one of the concerns I have had is that my succulents are affected by this weather.

There are some of my cacti and succulents that I have had to shelter in the living room of my house so they don't get damaged by the cold. I have also had to space out watering times as their roots can freeze or rot. However, there is a canoe-shaped pot with several kinds of succulents planted that are still in the garden, and today when I went to look at them, I found the lovely surprise that they were blooming.

Well yes, it can happen, nature is so wonderful that it has plants that bloom when the cold burns others, but you have to be careful because not all succulents are winter season succulents.

This is a succulent Sedum palmeri, with thin stems and grows creeping. It is a succulent that withstands extreme weather conditions, unlike others. It can grow optimally in temperatures between 8ºC to 35ºC. The only thing this plant need is good drainage to prevent excess water from rotting its roots.

Its leaves are light green, covered with a faint patina that gives it a grayish tone. They have flat leaves, are not fleshy like other types of succulents, and form rosettes.

When this plant blooms, it produces several inflorescences which are like a yellow star with 5 petals. These inflorescences from bud to full bloom can take 8 to 10 days and last almost two weeks, so I have taken several photos to share them with you before they complete their life cycle.
