It was an exciting lecture and students learnt new things in the flutter mobile application development. It was another interesting and full of new concepts lecture for those students who are interested in mobile application development but they did not have any chance to learn they have gotten this splendid chance of learning mobile application development through an initiative by the Steemit Team.

The learning outcomes of this lecture include that the students learnt to handle the complex user interfaces, managing packages, importing and exporting packages. I taught the students that how we can interact with pub.dev to export packages to make the development easy and quick. Then I taught how we can play with the repository of the project. It showed how we can give the version number and name to the application as well as to add the name of the author. I taught them to add custom assets, custom icon to the application which is the identity of the application in the app drawer. I told the students an easy way to add the icon of the application by getting a package from pub.dev and by exporting it in the pubspec.yaml file. create a profile card to represent the data of the people.

As TabBar and BottomNavigationBar are the major components of any application and the students should know how we can implement TabBar to move between the different tabs and similarly they should be aware of using BottomNavigationBar of the application. So keeping in view this need I added these 2 concepts as well for the students to learn and explore.

I am happy that students participated with best of their knowledge and by learning the concepts provided in the lecture. Students made different screens to complete the tasks. They presented their tasks in videos and by making the gifs.

The quality of the work was awesome of all the students. And where they needed correction or improvement I tried my best to guide them and appreciated them. The students build beautiful recipe book application which was accessible from the TabBar. The user could move between different tabs with the help of TabBar to view different food categories. I asked the students to implement BottomNavigationBar to access the favourite items as well as to see the profile of the user. All the students tried their best to learn these things and to develop the required application. And It was really good to listening to the good feedback of the users that they have learnt new things and now they are able to build applications in Flutter.

Statistics

During this week 6 genius students attended the lecture. Each entry was of high quality representing the learnt skills and hard work of students. There was a great competition of the quality of posts between all the participants. They remained stick with the required observations. I am very happy from the students for providing such a quality work.

Top 5 Users of Week

The competition between the users was very high. I assessed the quality of the posts of the users keenly to select them in the top users. I also focused on their engagement with other users to pick the quality content provider as well as an engaging user. But mainly the quality of their post is kept in mind.

Conclusion

The fifth lecture of Flutter Mobile Application Development has ended successfully where I saw the good response from the users who are interested in mobile application development as well as coding and programming. This lecture was all about teaching the students about handling the packages, external assets and uploading package on the library pub.dev. It was embellished with the addition of TabBar and BottomNavigationBar implementation. It was a fruitful lecture for the students who learnt something new here while staying at Steemit. All the students performed well. And I have made meaningful comments on the homework of all the students to clear their misunderstandings as well as to correct them where correction was required. I suggested to students to show the video outputs where the state of the screen is changing so that I can analyze your work and can guide you if there is the need of some correction.
