Beat The Heat, Fast And Easy Refreshing Watermelon Smoothie Recipe

  Nothing is worse than a sugary soda pop because as soon as your finished it you are still thirsty. Store bought juices often have loads of sugar added to them. So why not make a healthy drink that is not only delicious but filled with antioxidants, amino acids, vitamin B1, B6, A, C and copper with potassium as well.   

Chop and seed the watermelon into chucks, on average there is 3.2 cups per pound 

Cut lemon in half remove seeds.

In a large blender place all the ingredient below: 

1 Small watermelon (about 6 cups) 

1 Fresh lemon

1 Cup of vanilla flavored yogurt

1 Cup of ice

Cover with a lid and puree until smooth, about 60 seconds. Pour into glasses and garnish with a mint leaf or lemon wedge and enjoy! 

This can also be used for homemade popsicles or as ice cubes.     

Add sparkling soda water for a fizzy drink.
