Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi beaten the South Korean smartphone giant Samsung in the fourth quarter (October-November-December) of the year 2017 to emerge as the numero uno in the Indian smartphone market.
Now, according to a new report by CyberMedia Research (CMR), the state of Maharashtra played a major role in Xiaomi's rise to the top position. The report also terms Maharashtra as the biggest smartphone market in India.
According to the CMR report, during the quarter, Xiaomi outshined Samsung in selling smartphones in Maharashtra which alone amounted to 13.7% of the sales
