It is a sphere of hot gases.Earth is surrounded by a blanket of air called atmosphere which protects us from harmful rays of sun.sun is most important source of energy on earth. It is the source of ligth and heat.without sun,life on earth would not be possible.green plants would not be able to produce food without the sun.sun is the star in our our solar system. It is the source of heat and light on our planet.it. is rises in the eat and sets in the west.All the planets revolve around the sun.people in India consider the sun as a god.sunriseand sunsets are beautiful scene.The harmful rays emitted by the sun are know as UV rays.it can cause pain if one looks at the sun directly with naked eyes. Hence, sun important but it is also harmful.
