      WHHAAATTT? Wow! The Star Wars movies especially, for their mix of Taoism, the ragtags tearing down an empire, etc... not only tons of cultural references, but extremely relevant to the modern world.

        I know. Church family. I saw 5 minutes of the film then my mom walked in the room and freaked out. Turned me in to the patriarch who had a problem with that whole "force" thing.

        As an adult, I saw Phantom Menace and was about to watch​ the original on DVD. Ran into this whole purists controversy stating the new versions were altered and the only accurate version was on laser-disc from the 80's!

        Star Trek is so much easier... :)
