I adore the intoxicating scent of lilies. The perfume lingers with waves of sweet fragrance in the air making it impossible to ignore their beauty. They simply cannot be ignored and so I'll pause for long pleasurable moments to appreciate everything about them .
Easter lilies are also known as Belladonna Lilies, Amaryllis, Marach lily of naked lily. Why clothe something so exquisite? This arrangement of lovely pink lilies was captured at St. Luke's church in Toowoomba in Queensland, Australia during the city's yearly Carnival of Flowers Festival. I applied a digital filter to my original photo to create a soft, texturized appearance.

Lilies are very beautiful but also very dangerous. I do not bring them home because they are very dangerous for my cat and dog.

I also like to admire them on the street. in an enclosed space their smell is too strong for me

Lilies do need to be in a large area otherwise they can be rather overpowering @tali72 I agree.

I have just decided to get rid of my lillies here at home! They have had their best time and the scent is giving me a slight headache - its getting too much for my small house! But, i kept them for more than 10 days now so its okay.

Thank you Judith. Lilies do last a long time as cut flowers and unless there is good ventilation they can indeed be rather strong. They sure do look pretty though.
