Under the Red Hood is one of the rare adaptations that actually surpasses the source material. The original comic storyline was long and convoluted, but the animated version was able to condense the story into a tightly scripted and well-done movie, with even the amazing ability to explain Jason Todd's significance in the Batman mythos to a beginner viewer.
