This sunset that I show in this photograph is in the north of the Tenerife Island, Spain, where my parents were born. There it occurs a phenomenon called by its inhabitants as "Panza de Burro", referring to the white coat of that animal in that area of his body. It turns out that the trade winds at a certain time of the year blow in a particular way, generating this sea of clouds that look like waves on a beach. Below them is a large populated area that appreciates this natural roof, as it refreshes the environment. At the same level is the Las Cañadas del Teide National Park where I took this photo some time ago, and where you can spend a fabulous day among pine trees, walkways, and spaces for family recreation. And above, a beautiful blue sky illuminated by a powerful and wonderful glow of the sun before hiding in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

Este atardecer que muestro en esta fotografía es en el norte de la Isla de Tenerife, España, donde nacieron mis padres. Allí ocurre un fenómeno llamado por sus habitantes como "Panza de Burro", haciendo referencia al pelaje blanco de ese animal en esa zona de su cuerpo. Resulta que los vientos alisios en cierta época del año soplan de una forma en particular, generando este mar de nubes que se observan como olas de una playa. Por debajo de ellas está una amplia zona poblada que agradece este techo natural, ya que les refresca el ambiente. A su mismo nivel está el parque nacional Las Cañadas del Teide donde tomé esta foto, y donde puedes pasar un fabuloso día entre pinos, caminerías, y espacios para el esparcimiento familiar. Y por encima, un hermoso cielo azul iluminado por un potente y maravilloso resplandor del sol antes de ocultarse en medio del océano Atlántico.
