We have the most beautiful sunsets in Arizona, partly due to the dust in our air. Summers bring us some of the most stunning sunsets as the monsoon kicks up a lot of dust. Wildfires in the summer months also add smoke to the mix, giving us very colorful sunsets.

I took the photo above last year in a field in Gilbert, AZ. My husband and I love trying to find a clear shot to capture the best sunsets we can without a ton of buildings in the way.

Sometimes, adding buildings, trees or other objects actually makes the sunset more interesting! I love the way this tree looks in silhouette, above.

I always feel it is God's way of saying goodnight, a huge , unique painting for us to enjoy each evening. Fleeting, ever changing colors of reds, yellow, gold, pink, blue and purple. Sometimes magnificent rays of light burst through the clouds giving us a stunning scene for just a moment in time.

If you are never out around Sunset, you sure are missing one of the best times of the day!
