Adelie penguins have been thought to be a disappearing species, that was until huge amounts of penguin poop was spotted from space by NASA. The unusually large amount of penguin dropping covered vast areas of Danger Island a place that is so remote that it is nearly impossible to reach even the height of summer.
When scientists did manage to land on the Island they discovered the supercolony by using drone technology - how have the survived undetected nobody knows.
Scientist are now calling for a special case protection for the supercolony of penguins on Danger Island.
