What up steemers, specifically Cleveland , and ill leave that intro at that. I wanted to see if there are a lot if not any E-bike owners on here, Super 73 to be specific. I am currently in the process of building my own from the ground up and having a particular issue with finding a lot of resources for speed upgrades that will let me get my bike to where I want it to be speed wise. I was planning on purchasing a 15000 watt (yes 15k not 1500) motor upgrade, after seeing a video on youtube if an RX owner topping out at around 90MPH . I find the whole idea of having a bike that requires no license or registration a fascinating concept as a way to get around the world these days, and since I dont drive I have been putting a lot of time in finding a way to get the speed with the long lasting battery effects that and upgrade would extend the overall run time. I live on the east coast and have family 3 hours away, and would be ecstatic if I could make it to them after building up this particular brands RX model as my main transportation.
The battery in the video ill post is custom and takes up a whole section of the frame where an engine would be placed if it was made for gas powered users. the issue is the one option available to cover the battery pack is metal which will add more weight to it than I wish to handle. I need to get this bike to the 5th floor where I live in a narrow stairway so carrying it is a must. I just wanted to put this out there and see if I could pool together a list of resources that hasnt really been compiled yet due to the fact its rather new to the e bike world and I have seen a lot of videos on the matter but none that have me whipping out my wallet and like to do my research before making decisions im paying for. also I figured it would give some people the chance to offer their services and handywork that could really get a community thriving and worth the time trying to start. Im looking for a fiber glass shaped cover I can mount like the one in this video and would be interested in having it made soon so if anyone out there has the skills and some photos of past work I may be in the market to get started . Ive found most of the parts in this video and have them on my list of things to buy, but always looking for new methods and materials I havent thought or seen yet. look forward to seeing if this works out.
