The Super Bowl Live Experience opened on January 26th. It's a 10 day event leading up to the Super Bowl. In the 'not so warm' Minneapolis, it was a whole 20 degrees (F) when attending this event. But people who live in the #boldnorth are used to this weather (yeah right!). But really, we bundle up and experience the outdoors - that's just what you have to do when you live in Minnesota.
I have not attended a Super Bowl experience before and must say it's actually a pretty cool event. The event is free to the public and has some interesting aspects of it.
There are ice sculptures.
A stage in the middle with concerts by various artists. Quite difficult to pass through here with extra security and tons of people stopping by to watch and listen. (Do you see the coats and hats?)
They built a ski hill over the road.
There were people carving the snow.
If you want to stay out of the cold, you can walk through the endless Minneapolis sky way system, one of which, goes over the experience.
And on Sunday the #superbowlLII will be played here. Our new, beautiful stadium!
If you happen to read this and plan on visiting Minneapolis and attending any outdoor activities, just remember - bundle up! While our average temperature for February is 25 degrees (F), on Super Bowl Sunday the forecast calls for only 8 degrees (F). Brrr....
Cheers!
