So it has been confirmed that Dean Wilson will be racing as a privateer for the 2019 Monster Energy Supercross series. He has been linked to a few teams over the off season but i think we all kinda knew deep down that he would have to carve his own path again.
Factory rides are few and far between in modern Supercross and the field is stacked with talent. This was especially true in the RockStar Husqvarna team with the two current riders both sporting the title Champion in 2018. It's good to see that RockStar and Husqvarna have continued to support his privateer program though. He has been very loyal to the team and it's nice to see that being repaid.

If Wilson can get his feet on the podium this season then i think he will have teams sniffing around again. Good luck for 2019 mate, you can do this! :)

Deano could be demonstrating a hybrid of a future method for factory teams as well as less economically advantaged teams and sponsors to secure talent. I'm excited to see what he can do, it's going to be an interesting year.
