Thank you Steemit! $530 donated to Steven Lenoirs family!steemCreated with Sketch.

It's times like this that truly show the power of steemit to affect the lives of real people! I hate to think what Stevens family are dealing with right now but they must be proud to see how many peoples lives Steven had touched. The response has been phenomenal with the entire Motocross community coming together in tribute to 685.

Thanks to all your kind votes we managed to raise 344.715 SBD! wow!! I transfered that to bittex and converted it to BTC so i could make the donation as the site only accepted USD and this was the easiest option.

So that 0.21654844 BTC was converted to $530 after fees which i donated via the Road2Recovery site.

To show the people there the power of steemit i also left them a message showing them how the funds were raised.

I hope this money helps the Lenoir family and they are in my thoughts.

Thank you again #steemit! you rock!

Nowadays, it was lesser people wanted to do charity as they think it was wasting time and money, glad to see you making our community feel warm,Nice!!!!

Never a waste of time if you can help someone out when they need it. Some day you might need that help...

thanks for sharing

My pleasure @profitbucket :)

I think our community is the best. I also think this is the perfect platform for us to help one another w/o organizations as middle men because they steal it all.

I will upvote/max/follow because I have had several personal issues that has left me thinking about powering down, but Steemit is the most important thing to me so I may take out a loan instead of selling.

Sometimes if you need to power down that's cool mate. The power of steemit is the community and also the fact you can always power back up with more content. There is no point in rewards if you do not take some as rewards for your personal time and input. :)

Your right, but I have a huge feeling that Steemit will be one of the few Cryptos standing in about 6months...

agreed @jimjam1210, bad things happen sometimes... We need to make sure people get the help they need.

@b0y2k ya did the right thing , if your in a position to help people should always try help another . But unfortunately media dictates people be selfish . And they follow like sheep
