Anadrol description

Oxymetholone or oxymetholone (anadrol 50) is a potent oral anabolic steroid derived from dihydrotestosterone. Rather, it is a close cousin of methyldihydrotestosterone (mestanolone), differing only by the addition of a 2-hydroxymethylene group. This creates a steroid with considerably different activity than mestanolone, however, it is very difficult to make comparisons between the two. For the beginners or initiates, oxymetholone is a very potent anabolic hormone as for the first cycles and should move away from it.

Oxymetholone is considered by many to be the most powerful of commercially available steroids, as oral steroid there is none that is stronger but is also one of the most problematic in terms of unwanted side effects. As with all anabolic steroids, there is always a risk to reward the ratio.

Clinical use of Anadrol:
This steroid was first manufactured in the United States during the 1960s, being sold under the brands Anadrol-50 (Syntex) and Androyd (Parke Davis & Co.).
The medication was originally approved for use in conditions where anabolic action was extremely necessary. Its indicated use include: geriatric debilitation, chronic low-weight states (anorexia), pre- and postoperative preservation of lean mass, convalescence of infections, gastrointestinal diseases, AIDS, osteoporosis, and catabolic general conditions.
In the 1970s, the drug was approved by the FDA only for the indicated treatment of anemia characterized by the deficiency of red blood cell (RBC) production.

Use in Bodybuilding: Anadrol increases protein synthesis, a key element to increase muscle mass, more attributes include its ability to dramatically increase the production and the count of red blood cells in the individual's cells, this is the reason why it was developed in the fight against anemia.

As I mentioned before, anadrol drastically increases fluid retention. Some individuals will be more sensitive to water retention while using Anadrol than others. The majority of users use the drug with other anabolic androgenic steroids in the cycle. The most frequent administration of Anadrol is at the beginning of the cycle, the first four to six weeks. Anadrol is likewise one of the most hepatoxic oral steroids on the market and using it a lot longer than six weeks is not recommended.

Anadrol 50 is a very powerful androgen. This factor tends to produce many unwanted androgenic side effects.

Oily skin
Swelling and fluid retention
Gynecomastia (When Anadrol is used it is highly recommended to use an aromatase inhibitor such as anastrozole (Arimidex) to protect against gynecomastia)
High blood pressure
Acne in the body
Facial hair growth, (can be seen very quickly with this drug).
Many people respond with severe acne, often requiring medications to keep it under control. Some of these people find that Accutane works well. It is a very strong prescription drug that acts on the sebaceous glands to reduce the release of oils (extreme care must be taken with Accutane, since it can produce extreme depression in the individual and signs of suicide).
People with a predisposition for male pattern baldness have to stay away from Anadrol 50 completely, as this is undoubtedly a possible side effect during treatment. (So if you do not want to be totally bald, do not use it)
For the very adventurous female athletes who experiment with this compound, it is too androgenic to recommend it. Irreversible symptoms of virilization can be the result and can occur very quickly, possibly before having the opportunity to take any action against the drug.
