I have seen some inspirational gratitude for steem posts as well as some good honesty pledge posts here lately.

I was nominated to do my very own by @choosefreedom.. This is the meat and potatoes of the challenge..

First I will address the fighting abuse portion. I myself am too wee to be able to have any impact on any abuse as I might see it. While I am not here on steem seeking a livelihood and thus not concerned about any retaliation that might negate any of my rewards I'm also not here to fix the place with my magic flag wand.

While I do love to stir the pot and offer some provocative observations it's not in my nature to police people by penalizing them for how they play the game. In hindsight I wish I'd never invested so much effort into destroying my blissful ignorance and following the steem trails..

As concerned with the honesty part I can only speak for myself that I've been very much transparent that my method of steeming is organic. Not being driven by the skewed economics I've had no interest in maximizing my ROI or being anything other than myself.. I have self voted on occasion but again I'm such an insignificant account it's a harmless act. In fact I was unaware of the 15 minute thing until a month ago so all of my self votes were voided 😂.. If I'm honest I don't care what people do or don't do with their stake, I see myself as a very unique steemian that's more of a fly on the wall or more accurately a pesky mosquito. The disease free kind, but with a larger than you'd ever imagine proboscis..Unlike the mosquito my intentions have always been of a symbiotic nature not a parasitic one and steem isn't mature enough for my vision. My approach is still the same as I wrote in my introduction, I can only add to my original minnow manifesto that I wish there was more of an emphasis put on mobile first design. I love the engage initiative and #humanizesteem movements as well. I'm hoping to stay in the loop so that when a better foundation is laid I might have a voice that isn't associated with a rep score, SP, or any numbers other than how many people can say that skramatters has integrity and if there were a million others like him we would be well on our way to bridging the income inequalities throughout the world and cracking the power vacuums of the real controllers..

My pledge is to not quit without telling everyone to kiss my ass... 😘

That's impressive mate! Well done sir!

I assume you're onto focusing on your trip back home and not doing the office work this week? Enjoy your last week with authentic chapati and south Indian cuisine.. I'm sure Berlin or Cologne have some options but nothing will beat the real deal..

I'm off to immigration myself to get an extension that will give the give time to process my spousal visa... 500 USD security bond on that piece of paper though, I wasn't expecting that, but you gotta pay to play!!

TBH a lot of notifications from my Wallet earning Rewards and clutter. I think I need to tweak some settings to have a better overview of tags, replies, and whatnot.

I haven't prepared anything yet! Time is ticking for sure. I will start getting into all the official visa, plane ticket stuff today and prepare everything so I can enjoy the travel without any complications. They do have some Indian food options for sure! However, I am going to appreciate the last authentic Indian meals and looking forward to eating western again! :P

Do you get like a one year Visa or how does that work for you? I had a one-year business Visa here in India. I paid roughly 200 USD for that.

I get 6 months then a year then 2 then 5 or a passport I believe?

but I blew it by showing up at 10 am today.. The guy was pissed I came so late, "u see all these people ah? " " u get to go first why? "

"duh because Im American"

I obviously didn't say that lol, I was just doing as I was told, he could have easily said oh you have only one day left lemme take your money and stamp this now, but no, I get the come back at 7am and get in line tomorrow..

Can't wait to eat some schnitzel again! This will be one of the first food I'm gonna stuff myself with. :P A big BBQ is planned with all the meats they don't have here for some reason? Probably linked to the Veg thing that is going on here haha :D

10am is late? I thought you're in a laid back Asian country?? :D But yeah, at those "official" embassy their quite on time. Occasionally :D

Ohhh man that sounds amazing! I totally know what you mean about the meats situation.. Thankfully it's still an option here but to have BBQ and no complaints from me, I need to do it myself..

Schnitzel is one of my favourites too, I don't think I've come across a German dish I didn't like..

10am would have been OK if my wife had been there to do the talking, me alone is a perfect opportunity for an official to exercise their authority..

Comes with the territory..

They do have some BBQ options too... I tried it a couple of times but it's just not the same when it comes to the quality of the meats and the style how they serve it!

Glad you're enjoying the german cuisine :) I wonder, what is a typical American dish? Hamburgers? I want to go to Cali at some point, maybe I can go to one of those American diners and eat some authentic burgers! Probably in the US, all the dishes are mixed due to immigration from all over the world.

I think this place is just a mirror for who you are and what you place your values in!

Character and integrity is great in theory but unless it’s tested by having power or influence it means well nothing much to anyone but you!

I’m not one to dictate others behavior I only have control over my own and like you I just say what’s on my mind if you like it cool if you don’t like it cool! I think that’s how you find value in these places by being who you are and letting those who resonate with your message find you, so you have to be consistent if you a dick, be one and let the dicks find you and you can touch tips online regularly

I do think open and decentralized social media is the future but I think both us here and those in the central world need to bump our heads a few times before we meet one another eventually! Lots of kinks and growing pains to work out, will steem be the winner I don’t know but I’m here to see where this whole thing goes!

Sadly the rest of the internet has become pretty boring to me, only really blockchain and AI fascinates me right now!

I see you tagged a Zulu word Ubuntu so I guess I can call you an Umlungu now, that’s Zulu for white dude

I can see where you're coming from that integrity is only theoretical until it's tested by that which can corrupt..

Although, personally I'm not really interested in proving my ideals are equitable or a commodity to anyone. If power and influence are bestowed upon one or are the will of the people then so be it, if power is sought out by an individual with politically motivated ambitions it's unlikely I will ever believe they have integrity.. Politics aren't my thing and I mostly distrust anyone that fancies themselves as someone that thinks they are fit to speak for me, much less any collective voice..

Those are the tip touchers, they can toil away for votes and a life of people pleasing in the open and more than just the tip behind closed doors..

I agree the rest of the internet has become quite dull, and I'm glad to be here to steer my steem ship.

I'll add umlungu to my ever growing vocabulary for white dude feel free to call my honkey or whatever as well..

I love the concept of Ubuntu, I still find it amazing that the commonality between nearly every ideology is an interpretation of the golden rule, yet it's the very morality that evades us and thus feeds the illusion of separation.
