I'll eventually have experiments where you'll get paid for actually catching waves by upvotes from people watching the webcam stream for fun, maybe making bets on which sufers fan catch the most waves etc.
But surf competitions will be later, for now steem surf is like a tourism board PR game where we all try to show off our post industrial society where we get PAID to do what we love as long as we put in the work to buy or earn or save up enough steempower to allow you to live off, and when people realize steem is their dream job, it will attract a lot of late comers and we will be the surf kings forever in charge of the ocean and the land... Stay in your surflane... but what if the ocean is one big surf simulator? without the alien reptillian moon we wouldn't have tides and surf! :)
