Finally getting footing on steemit.

Having joined steemit just a few weeks ago.
I thought it would be just one of those communities that would end as a wasted effort. I was first introduced to steemit by a course mate but I turned down the invite and totally zeroed my mind on it. My interest was awaken when my elder brother, whom I have so much respect for asked me to try it out.
The road hasn't been as expected.. Having to make a post and working so hard to get up votes and all that. Had too fall back to the friend that gave me the first invite. He helped me get footing and gave me some links on discord. That am. Wry grateful for. Today actually turned out better than I expected. Finally finding a real excuse terminate my affair with other social media platforms like facebook. Had so much fun today. Singing and listening to others sing.
