There are thousands of U.S. troops stationed all over the world and the majority of Americans, according to a recent survey, are ready for them to come home. B
ring them home to be with their families, to strengthen and focus on their own communities and countries. Having them oversees as they have been is an unpopular and bankrupt policy that needs to change.
Changing an outdated foreign policy
The U.S. is in control of hundreds of bases in dozens of different countries around the world.
With those bases that they are running there is a huge cost. That is over $10 billion being spent yearly on international bases. Meanwhile there are industries and infrastructure, as well as millions living in poverty, who struggle in the U.S. as their money is taken and spent overseas on these foreign policy endeavors that never seem to change despite the lack of efficiency, success, or reason for them being there.
The U.S. cannot afford to police the world as it has been, it does so to the detriment of its own economic strength and to the benefit of the people. Looks like more people are waking up to the nonsense of it all as well, according to this recent survey, who are ready for those troops to be brought back home finally.
