So, what’s the difference between bugging out, camping, and long distance hiking? Lets take a look inside Squirrel Bait’s mind. I warn you, it can be a scary place. Bugging out is a treacherous, scary, and difficult thing to do!
Bug Out Bits: Bugging out is not camping # 2
Killing animals and people are not camping and hiking activities. It is routine in a SHTF bug out situation either for food or self-defense. I’m not just talking about a clean shot with your handy dandy weapon. I mean by any desperate means necessary. Messy. Very messy. On that note......
You generally don’t come across dead bodies while camping and hiking. Oh yes, the bodies. The bodies. Don’t forget about those. People killed by other people and those who starved. People who died from disease, the event itself, previous medical conditions, etc. The bodies. The bodies. No one to bury them. Those of you who have caught a whiff of a dead animal baking in the noon day sun, picture that scent and magnify it. In a bug out situation you will see disturbing fragrant horrors. Also, depending on where you are, every spring when the snow melts there will be more thawing out as more people succumb. Either way, as time goes by, the body count increases. Picture the wind blowing through your hair carrying the rancid stench.
Oh by the way, you will be checking for any useful items on and around them, as safety permits. EW!! Told ya it’s not like camping!!

I live around the Appalachian trial. Dead human remains have been found on the trail. The Appalachia trail is dangerious. Ive been lost in the mountains in winter time before gone for 16 hours and everything looked white and no way to tell where I was going. When I figured out how to get out, I was kinda surprised that I was going around in circles. The snow covered my tracks.

People die out there that's for sure. Now, picture poorly prepared folks "heading for the hills" during a SHTF event.

Shit Hits The Fan
(cute eh? ) This is what is means when you see it around the internet.
Without the rule of law, societal breakdown, etc. Crap has gone wrong and it's everyone for themselves. An extended grid down would be an example. War too. Internal threats and external threats. For example, Jews bugged out to the woods in Germany to avoid being killed.
