Bugging Out: Getting There Tips

in survival •  6 years ago

There's so much to keep in mind on this topic so in this video, I share just a few tips regarding bugging out on foot. The idea is to get away from the chaos and to a place of relative safety. These tips are to assist you in doing just that. Hopefully you will never need to do this but here you go just in case.

Some good basic tips there. People have to realise that these types of skills have to be practiced and done well, so that they become successful and efficient at getting to their Bug Out Location. Soon, having a physical map and knowing how to use it is slowly becoming an 'OLD SKILL'.

Good Job.

Thanks. 😎

Sad about using and reading maps but true.

Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas!! I've given you an upvote and left you this amazing automated comment!!

Howdy there squirrelbait! hey these are all great tips and like you said, I hope we never need them! What are you guys doing for Christmas? Does your dad come back?

Thanks!
Nope. Pops is staying out camping in Arizona where it's warm. No real plans as it's just the two of us. Just relaxing and hanging out together. Are you two having family come?

Howdy this fine Sunday morning squirrelbait! no, it's just us two. In fact, Mrs. J has to work Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and the day after Christmas and those are 12 hour shifts from 6pm to 6am so nothing is going to be going on here! lol. Does Eagle Eyes have a few days off?

Wow. You remember his call name. Gosh, I don't know how you keep all of us straight. Yes, he has Monday and Tuesday off. We thought about taking off on a road trip to Arkansas to play around but there's so many people traveling right now. Not worth dying for with everyone texting and talking to family while driving. We are tumbling some rocks (a type of chalcedony that sometimes produces fire agate and Apache Tears) that Dad collected on his travels. He wants to do some stuff around here that he hasn't had time to do. I'm thinking of rearranging the place some. Especially my desk area.

your desk area? lets not get too radical here! lol. I bet it's stacked high with papers. mine sure is. If he only has 2 days off you ain't gettin much done. At least I wouldn't, I'd put things off until I ran out of time! lol. As far as keeping people straight, I don't keep everyone straight, just the important people!

YOUR SO SWEET!!!!!

Yeah, I changed which wall I face ( now that I have the lamp for filming) and cleaned up. Yup piles of files and papers but I have bins for them too. Well, 2 bins and a pile. Ok....2 bins and 2 piles. Ok fine! Bins are just contained piles! OK. I admit it. I have 4 piles!!!! As you know, that's actually pretty good. If my pile of scrap paper counts then I have 5 piles. I like the new arrangement and did it yesterday. Now I have the rest of the room to do. I want to reorganize.

wow you're ambitious! Aren't you supposed to be laying around eating, baking and watching movies? lol. Ok, 4 piles! That's not too bad. But wait, how tall are the piles? If they're 3 feet tall then that's pretty serious! lol.
