This is one of the survival tools you may reeeeeallly want to consider having! And if you EVER get a dog, YOU HAVE TO RESCUE DOGS!!! Don't buy puppy mill puppies from the pet store, buy RESCUED DOGS FROM THE POUND, OTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATIONS, etc.

This is my survival companion / best friend, Wilson, a.k.a. Nibbler. When I rescued him, he was sharing a jail cell, and a shit-covered towel than him and his cell mate had to SHARE!

They told me he took longer than average to get adopted! Darker dogs look "more dangerous" and thus get adopted less frequently.

This little dude loves me so much and I love him right back! He gets smarter with every passing day because I TRAIN HIM WELL!

And one of the best things is, this dude is one of the least-picky eaters I know! He likes just about anything that dogs are allowed to eat.... he likes everything except for spinach and kale (:

And I feed him some raw foods on top of his powerhouse-dense plant-based dog food. Shit, my dog is probably getting more nutrition than the average American!

I think it's important to have a dog. They make great companions for both raising and surviving with. If I needed him to, I would let Nibbler loose and have him look for food and other things with his radar-enhanced nose or his WiFi compatible ears. He truly is a survival tool and companion that I am grateful for (:

Just make sure you use negative/positive reinforcement with your dog!! The training is just as important as anything else!
