Dear steemians,
As I have promised that I will share my experience as an agric extension officer today I was able to go to a community called Ajenisuwa.
Ajenisuwa is a town where cocoa planting is done and my company has the opportunity to have this farmers as her certified farmers.
In our bid to get our annual certificate we have to go through RA(Rainforest Alliance) Audit. In this regard there's need to check if this farmers are adhering to our good agricultural practice orientation.
This particular farm is an exemplary farm of sustainability. It depicts the exact planting density and the auditors expectations of getting at most 2 healthy branches on a tree.
It has been a hard nut to crack in Nigeria to get sustainable farmers in a time like this a farmer that will be able to believe in sustainability program and do exactly what an extension officer is bringing to his/her doorstep.
This has always been our goal to ensure that farmers has a favourable income and less expenditure and their health is of Paramount important as I start in taking you sustainability itself and we learn together I welcome @all once again to this page where
Our environment is our priority
