Hi there

My name is Grant Miller. I am a multi-instrumentalist/composer/performer from Melbourne, Australia. I have worked in the disability sector for the last 10 years after personal experience touched my wife and I. Lately I have been exploring the affect music can have on people not just with a disability but for the benefit of many people who's lives have had adverse reactions triggered by the world we live and move in today. I'm also in the process of changing my lifestyle by means of transitioning my thought process out of the mainstream structure / existence and the reliability toward those structures I have let constrain my life and the lives of my immediate family to date.steemit story pic.png

Welcome to Steemit fellow 'strayan!
Music is definately an amazing tool for making emotional connections with people - I have 2 non-verbal autistic kids myself and the right tunes (and timing) can make a massive difference :)

Following you now, best of luck here - btw you may get a better response if you tag your post with "introduceyourself"

Hey Ausbitbank, my first reply and a meaningful one! Unlike some other platforms I don't care to mention.. I hear a lot of controversial arguments regarding autism. I rather listen to others than propose any such causes or remedies personally other than to say I understand if you have a busy household :-).. Thank you for your reply & tips on 'Introduceyourself'. I'm still watching You tubes on figuring that one out as it is early days for me here. I will follow and add the tag. All the best for now .. ;-)

Aha yeah its a bit of a touchy topic with a lot of people, you'll find people across the full spectrum of opinion here on cause/treatments etc.

You've stumbled across a funny little part of the interwebs here, it can take a little while to get used to but it's definately worth the time and effort :)

Have a good one!

Yeah, I really like it here so far. Definitely in for the long haul. Cheers..

Welcome Grant mate - I'll raise a Bundy tae ya up here later ... if you ever need help just shout "Hey @mindhunter ya crazy Scot!"
