Myanmar State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi is going to visit India's capital Delhi. The ASEAN-India summit will be held in New Delhi on January 25 and 26. In this conference, 10 heads of state of ASEAN will join. Among them, Myanmar's State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi is also there.
Foreign Secretary of the country Preeti Samaran confirmed the information to the media.
Preeti Sakhan further said that India wants defense cooperation with Southeast Asian countries. The conference was organized in New Delhi on the occasion of 25th anniversary of Ashyan-India relations.Suu Kyi is going to India earlier this time after the Rohingya crisis in Myanmar was going on.
In fact, the Indian government has already announced financial assistance to the Myanmar government for rehabilitation of Rohingya. Official sources said that Suu Kyi might be in talks with this.
