So I landed at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok early in the morning and breezed through customs. I got the feeling they want or need tourists which is great because as it turns out I loved the time I spent in Thailand. The people were cordial, didn’t ask me any questions and I went right to luggage claim, quickly grabbing my bag. Despite the stark difference between English and Thai (the alphabet, and tonal sounds of the language to name a few), I had no problem finding my way around. This is largely due to English language being everywhere and the courtesy desk at the airport. I grabbed my luggage, exchanged some currency and my contacted my hotel taxi for pickup. I haven’t used Don Mueang, but I doubt it operates as efficiently as Suvarnabhumi. I took a few photos despite being in somewhat of a hurry and doing the tourist thing but I managed to make my way and take a few pics
The place is bustling with tourists from literally all over a mini melting pot of the world. As I indicated the airport is easy to navigate, there are helpful staff all over and the signs are easy to follow.
