I also eat fermented foods and I have my favorite but it is a case to case basis because one of fermented foods that I like is the fermented rice with fish and sometimes the maker or producer doesn't do a good job of either selling it sooner which makes the sourness less of its usual intensity or they fermented it with much days so it turns out to be too sour to eat.

It really is an acquired taste and not everyone here in my family likes it and in fact I was the only one and also my parents had gone the liking for it. The cooking of it also plays a good role because some people like my father doesn't cook it enough which should not be the case because it has a raw fish and must be simmered and then reduced for a good texture.

But now I don't like it much anymore because of my appetite primarily because of the nausea that I am suffering from each and everyday plus this pesky bitter aftertaste in my mouth which had been plaguing me for more than a year now.

But Surströmming really intrigues me because apparently it is just salted raw fish in a can and I can just imagine the smell of it and I bet that even my family would curse me if I would even attempt to eat that here inside the house.

Yes I would like to try it because I do have the taste for such fermented foods only that I have an appetite issue and that will just play a role that will probably make me not to enjoy this kind of Swedish delicacy.
