Diwali Sweets

Diwali is just 2 weeks away and I can already see and feel the vibe. how happy Diwali makes me and everyone here in my country. So here is a short note for them who has no idea about diwali.
Diwali is called the Festival of Lights and is celebrated to honor Rama-chandra, the seventh avatar (incarnation of the god Vishnu). It is believed that on this day Rama returned to his people after 14 years of exile during which he fought and won a battle against the demons and the demon king, Ravana.

Here in India, we make savories and sweets a week prior which takes lot of efforts and also later on lot of efforts to melt these calories we get from it. To name few are chakli, karanji, sev, chivda and many types of ladoos. I shall make a post of it soon, when all snacks and sweets are ready.
Today I had gone out and saw many stores with sweet boxes for gifting and it was so amazing sight.
This below picture is called Kaju Katli. its made of Cashew nut powder and sugar syrup. it is the most expensive.
