This isn't a beginner's tutorial. Rather if you've had Swift experience before and looking into WatchOS this may help you experiment with WCSession and Watch Connectivity (specifically updateApplicationContext) quicker. The important point is that in my example I'm using NSFetchedResultsController to bridge the WC Delegate to update my UITableView. These aren't in the same classes, this should help you with Unit Testing in the future if you keep them separate.
So if your set up contains core data and you're starting watch os this may help you.
