Went to the Camden community center for some lap swimming this late morning. Just about perfect weather in the low 70's.
I've been trying to improve my efficiency with the free style or front crawl stroke. Going once a week doesn't help too much, especially compared to avid swimmers. It is easy to detect them in the pool because they not only swim fast, but are pretty smooth.
3150 yards over 1hr and 23 minutes for me.

It takes quite a bit of energy to move yourself through the water over a long distance or if your trying to go fast. I think it may use more energy than cycling on a small grade...? (Certainly not a steep grade)
I get quite hungry about 1-2 hours post swim and I think that I just put all of the calories that I burned back in plus more.... a bad habit for sure...
