Today morning I wake up to this great news. Yes, when the results were declared, STEEM finally stood at No. 1 rank in the Netcoins Coin Listing Contest.
This win was made possible due to the strong community support Steemians displayed in this contest by voting in huge numbers. Special incentives and support from several dapps like Partico, DTube etc. along with several Witnesses and Steem communities over Discord ...everyone chipped in and stood united. With such a show, none could have beaten STEEM in this contest.
After the win, Netcoins stated:

Well, they did some adjustments in the vote counts taking vote abuse into consideration and declared STEEM the final winner. So I guess, there wasn't a big margin between No. 1 & 2 but they didn't declared the final vote count.
