BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:00 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) resumed their offensive in the eastern suburbs of Damascus, Sunday, striking Faylaq Al-Rahman’s positions in Jobar and ‘Ayn Tarma.

Using heavy artillery and rockets, the Syrian Arab Army’s 105th Brigade of the Republican Guard unleashed a vicious assault on Faylaq Al-Rahman’s defenses in the ‘Ayn Tarma Triangle, paving the way for their ground assault later this morning.

According to a source in Damascus, the Syrian Arab Army is attempting to cutoff Faylaq Al-Rahman’s most important supply line from Jobar to ‘Ayn Tarma.

If the Syrian Army is successful in this military endeavor, then the Islamist rebels of Faylaq Al-Rahman will likely have no choice but to surrender the remaining neighborhoods of ‘Ayn Tarma.
