The ancient Syrian ancient and historical name is Sham. The narratives related to Sham in different hadiths are found to be somewhat broader than today's Syria. Sham was formed with Syria, Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon. However, Syria is considered as the main and largest part of ancient Sham of present-day Syria.

- Muawiya RA Described, he said, I am the Prophet Who has said, 'A group of my Ummah will always stand on the religion of Allah. Those who want to insult or oppose them, they will not be able to harm them. They will be on this condition until the coming of the Hour. '
Umair bin Hani ra On the authority of Malik Ibn Uqammad, Mu'aj said. Said that the group will stay in Syria. Muawiya said, Malik Ra. The idea is that the party will stay in Syria, Mu'aj said. Says. (Bukhari: 3641). In the statement of Tabarani, the Prophet (peace be upon him) himself said that they will be Syrian people.
Ibnu Umar ra. Narrated from the Prophet Said, 'O Allah! Bless us in Sham (Syria) and Yemen. People said, our Najdao He said again, O Allah! Bless us in our country and in Yemen. People said again, our Najdao. Then he said, there are earthquakes and liberation; And the horn of Satan will emerge from there (its emergence) '. (Bukhari: 1037).
Abdullah bin Hawalla ra. Narrated by the Prophet Said, 'O Ibn Haawala, when you will see that the caliphate has landed on the holy land (the comment of hadith scholars in the light of different descriptions is meant as holy land, Sham or Syria), will think that during the time of the pre-the earthquake and historical disasters and big events Got closer. The closer the length of your head to me, then the Hour will be closer to it. "(Musnad Ahmad: 22487, Abu Daud: 2535).
Muawiyah bin Qurra From his father's sources, he said, the Messenger of Allah Said, "When the Syrian people get worse, there will be no better welfare among you (Muslims). But a group of my followers will always be aided (victor). The people who want to humiliate them, they will not be able to harm them until the end of the day. (Tirmizi: 212).
