Quick Thoughts On Syria...Sorry For The Politics!

I'll make this blog relatively quick. I'm almost in tears this morning over whats going on in Syria. Bless the United States Troops...for real. I love America and I'm totally being sincere in that sentiment.

I turned on the news this morning and saw images of a few kids now living in a refugee camp. Rows of tents where these families, who lost their loved ones, are living with the fear and confusion of what's happening and what will happen next. A few days ago was Holocaust Remembrance Day and images from that era have been in my head...similar images of families with children living in refugee camps and having their normal day be that of fear, war and mortar explosion...and deadly chemical warfare along with being 'gassed.'

Last night there were attacks on Syria that were deemed 'successful,' and the mission accomplished what it set out to do. I respect that. I do. I think that the main reason why I was motivated to write this was because of the possible residual effects of all of this. Explosions around chemical weapons could potentially affect the surrounding areas, right? I really don't know the specifics about all of this but as a sucker for children, I worry about them the most.

You don't have to comment on this one. I just wanted to get some thoughts out so I don't have to vent on some unsuspecting neighbor or friend. I feel kind of powerless in the regard of actually helping, but perhaps my words may inspire others to at least think about this a little bit.

Thanks for reading.
