Why is 26th January of every year a major day for INDIA

Yes 2th January of every year is a major and most admired day for Indian history as on this particular day Indian constitution was framed after its independence fro Britain, way back in 1947 India got liberated from English who ruled India for a decade or more and subjectively got independence on 15th of august 1947 and Pandit Jawahar lal Nehru became the First Prime-minister of Independent India,and efforts were taken since then to frame the constitution then It was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1949, and came into effect on 26 January 1950. Mahatma Gandhi fight for the cause and gave India the Independence and a constitution to work at its own, though the major part of the Constitution came into force on January 26, 1950, the provisions relating to citizenship, elections, provisional parliament and temporary and transitional provisions came into force with immediate effect, viz., from November 26, 1949. Republic Day celebrated in grandeur every year with ceremonious parades at Rajpath in New Delhi, as well as celebrations across the country, marks the day when the Constitution of India came into effect. After gaining independence from the British on August 15, 1947, India was an independent dominion in the British Commonwealth of Nations.
