Taiko Testnet Interaction Process

in taiko •  last year

What is Taiko?
Taiko is a decentralized Ethereum equivalent of ZK-EVM and generic ZK-Rollup. Its purpose is to allow developers and users of dApps developed for Ethereum L1 to use on Taiko without any changes. Therefore, dApps can be easily deployed to L2, inheriting the security of Ethereum while generating lower transaction fees than L1.

In June, Taiko announced the completion of two seed rounds of financing of $22 million, which can be described as golden. At present, Taiko Alpha-3 is still an incentive testnet, and it is also a project that is worth participating in early.

II. Taiko Interaction Process

  1. Add testnet
Add Sepolia testnet and Taiko testnet

chainlist.org

Open the website above, search for Sepolia, check the box in front of Include Testnets, and then find Sepolia to add to wallet

Then we continue to search for Taiko, check the same Include Testnets, and then find Taiko Alpha-3 to add to the wallet

  1. Add Bull/Horse/TTKO tokens to your wallet
Taking the little fox wallet as an example, we open the little fox wallet and the network switches to the Taiko Alpha-3 testnet

Let’s select the asset and click Add Asset below.

Add the three tokens below in order

Bull Token:0x6302744962a0578E814c675B40909e64D9966B0d

Horse Token:0xa4505BB7AA37c2B68CfBC92105D10100220748EB

Taiko Token:0x7b1a3117B2b9BE3a3C31e5a097c7F890199666aC

  1. Receive the test token SepoliaETH
    sepoliafaucet.com

Open the website above, log in with Google Mail, enter your wallet address, and click Send Me ETH.

If you can’t get it on the territorial waters website above, you can try other territorial waters websites:

faucet-sepolia.rockx.com

www.infura.io

www.infura.io

  1. Collect the test token BLL/Horse (TTKO cannot be collected currently)
    bridge.test.taiko.xyz

Open the website above, connect the wallet in the upper right corner, and switch the network to Sepolia testnet.

Select Faucet to claim test token BLL

Click the mint Bull Token to complete the collection.

Use the same method to get Horse Token, select Horse Token, click mint Horse Token, and confirm in the wallet.

  1. Use Taiko Bridge (bridge ETH, HORSE and/or BLL from Sepolia to Taiko)
    bridge.test.taiko.xyz

Open the website above, connect the wallet, and switch the network to Sepolia testnet

Let’s select ETH first, enter the amount, and click Bridge.

After confirming in the wallet, we select Transactions above, and the ETH we just crossed will appear. We click Claim.

Next, we use the same method to send BLL, enter the amount, click Approve, click Bridge, confirm in the wallet, and wait for the completion.

We select the Transactions above, the BLL we just crossed will appear, we click Claim

The wallet will switch to Taiko testnet, click Claim again, and confirm in the wallet. The next HORSE will not be repeated. The method is the same as that of BLL.

  1. Bridge ETH, HORSE and/or BLL from Taiko to Sepolia
This step is the same as step 5
  1. Deploy your own contract in Taiko (send your own token)
    docs.openzeppelin.com

Open the website above, select ERC20, enter the name, quantity, etc. of the token created, and click Copy.

It should be noted here that the code needs to be copied all, not less, otherwise it will not be compiled later

Open the website: remix.ethereum.org

Click New File to create a new folder

Enter folder name

Paste the code you just copied in

Then click the third button on the left and click Compile Dora.sol

A green check mark appears, indicating that the compile was successful.

Next, click the fourth button, the top ENVIRONMENT here to select the small fox wallet, the small fox wallet network must be switched to the Taiko Alpha-3 test network, which is very important

Then click Deploy and confirm in the wallet. A green check mark will appear below it, indicating that the deployment contract was successful.

  1. Query the deployment contract and add your own published token to the wallet

explorer.test.taiko.xyz

Open the website above, enter your wallet address in the upper right corner, and select your wallet address.

Find the token we just created, click in and copy the contract address

Open Little Fox Wallet, switch the network to the Taiko Alpha-3 testnet, and click Add Asset below

Enter the contract address we just copied and add tokens.

Taiko is still in the testnet stage. All interaction processes are free and we do not need to be responsible for the gas cost, so we can make a few more wallets if we can. The earlier you participate in the test, the higher the weight of the airdrop of the future project party. No matter what the project is, the level of participation in the testnet and the number of interactions of each project in the mainnet are important indicators for evaluating the weight of the airdrop. Participate in Web3 project interactions as soon as possible and we will reap more fruit.
