Taipei Universiade 2017

Today is the opening of the summer Universiade in Taipei. As coach of the Dutch Fencing team I have te privilege to join this unique event that can be seen as the Olimpic Games for students. Over 10.000 athletes and officials are participaring from 151 counties and 22 sports

This time in fencing there a record bewaking 456 fencers from 55 counties. Tommorow we wil start with women epee. The day after man epee and woman foil. Feel free to inquire about the details. Then after one day of rest we will fence the women epee team event and the day after the men epee.

Back to the main event. It is wondfull to experience the releaxed atmosphere between Some many different cultures. Fantastic in these troubled times. Also the people of Taipei or so friendly and supportive its amazing how much they like sportsman, they take pictures of all of us.

The pres is also intrested especially in the waterpolo man team.... sexy and to die for, according the comments.
