Taiwan is also known as Formosa; aka beautiful island in East Asia, with just about 36,193 km2 (13,974 sq mi) in size, a mountainous island. The island has the largest number and density of high mountains in the world. There are 286 mountain summits over 3,000 meters (9,800 ft) above sea level on the island, and it is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean. With such a unique geological characteristics, it is full of glamor and adventure activities and scenic attractions.
The most famous spot is the Taroko Gorge at the East Coast, the view of the gorge is breath-taking. Yet, it is the color of the river which cuts through the gorge that made me crazy!!
