Through the majestic gunung salak which stood tall, I made my way through the rough terrains and I was all alone with my motorbike. Early morning start to the ride is always better and that is something I never learnt. the ride was scheduled from krueng mane to The bener meriah Jump to the takengon border and then back to bireun. Yes!! It was a long long ride. I started from krueng mane at 7 am in the morning.
The ride through the side of the mountains is fantastic. Through the highway 4 lane Krueng mane highway I climbed to the mountain salak to take me to takengon. It was a refreshing journey and there was absolutely no pressure at all. The streets are pretty plentiful and some pot holes here and there never bother me. Part of this journey is very hard for the motor because the climb is steep. my bike never gives up.
Tiny villages were very well organized and I knew a small halt here will not be a loss. People here breathe fresh air, drink clean Himalayan water and are always blessed with the amazing shades of nature.
After being part of the longest Bungee Swing in the World, I started toward the very late takengon border, this then turned into a night horse for me. I started towards the borderun border which is 16 km from here. 16Kms hard terrain takes about an hour if you ride with caution. The road was completely torn, the scenery around more than made up for the tension. 10Kms into the journey comes the first check towards the Border.
