Hiya friends, Today we travelled to tansley car boot and market we enjoy car boot sales but this was a shocker for sure and because of it we will not be going there ever again.
Sundays are a great day for me and my wife, kids go to my mums and we have a little lay in, not much just an hour then we get up, make us selves look half decent and set of to local car boots.
A car boot sale for all that don't know are scattered around the country, it is were anyone can go and sell their unwanted items for a bit of cash, normally you can make between £40 and £200 a time depending on what you sell.
you do have a fee to pay to park and sell at these places and they can't just be run by anyone, they have to go through the council as there is a law about setting them up.
Today was a later start for us today, we looked on the net to see if there was any day time car boots as it was coming to dinner time.
We found that tansley car boot was open, on the net it says it starts at 11am and finishes at 4 pm which is a good time for us so we decided to set of on the 55 minute drive there.
It seemed to take longer as the traffic was crazy, it was so busy on the roads, plus road works didn't make it any easier.
finally we go there to be charged £2.20 to park and walk around. the shocker was this.
they had taken our money but everyone had packed up to go home, we were there 15 minutes and popped to a market trader who had fruit and veg, he had packed everything away but was more than happy to rummage though his stock and get us some stuff out.
We told him how pissed off we were at the fact we had been charged to get in to find a dozen cars left and the market just about done.
He was a kind guy and said to us that we could have everything cheap, we even got 3 pineapples for £1 which to me is a bargen.
We spent £15 with him then had a slow walk back to the car. I took the opportunity for a few photos of the countryside.
The fact they took our money to park up means we will not be going there again, this is bad business, if they had said to us 50p guys its just about done I would have been happy with that. this was a joke.
it was poorly organised and getting out of the place was a struggle, there was a que a mile long.
it is safe to say next week I will be going to chesterfield united ground as that is always brilliant.
