XII The Hanged Man
The Hanged Man denotes sacrifice.
The greedy, delusional, and spoiled feel they can have everything at any point in time. And when they do not they cry, rant, act as the victim while the rest of us go about our business succeeding and failing.
We all suffer. We all struggle. We all fail. If you have never failed ever, ever, ever, count your lucky stars it is rare to get out of life unscathed. If you say "I have never succeeded" you are wrong, so far you have beaten death.
So what now? The hanged man is a call to pick up your burdens and bear them. He warns that you will hang yourself if you do not take responsibility.
You may have to sacrifice something in the moment for the future. At the minimum do not make things worse. Grow up and stop your childish thinking whether you are 18 or 80.
You are beckoned to look at life as it is, not how you wish it to be. Magical thinking is a route to further suffering.
Sacrifice asks you to give up your delusions, face life head on, stop manipulating yourself and the world with your lies, and pick up your cross and carry it.
