Yes we can do timings with the Fool, it's probably not the most specific, but it can give a general idea.

I sometimes only use the major arcana in a reading because it has more clout than the miner arcana (suits). Particuarly if I just want a simple clear reading.

However to use timings with the fool I would suggest a miner arcana to accompany him. You will see why in a minute.

Now remember what we know about the Fool already. His a little silly, he likes adventure and he has a ' spring' in his step...

Yes April Fool's day... The beginning of spring, and a day of frivolities. I have found that on some occasions the Fool can mean the start of spring. But not always.

I have found mostly that the Fool draws in in the new year. The start, just like the Fool in the deck. He is there to introduce the year ahead.

To ensure you get the right timing with the fool I would suggest to mix the miner arcana and add one card to the fool to give your answer.

A sword/pentacle would represent new year and a wand/ cup would represent spring.

I would be interested to here other ways of timing with the Fool as alot of people do not use the Major Arcana for timings.

Have a great day

Sarah

Okay, something else I've heard of, but never worked with - timings! Excellent information, and I'm definitely going to investigate this further. I'm beginning to feel like a Tarot Slacker, not Reader - LOL!

Lol, I think everyone has different ways of reading them, as long asit works and its fun its win win :-)

Very true! I don't think I've ever met anyone who reads the exact same way as someone else. 😎
