The Devil is here to remind you that so long as you keep your focus on what's going on outside of you, you're a slave to this world, and to the lure of temporal pleasures and pursuits. This card reminds you that you must fight for your own life. It reminds you that the only things standing in the way of your true potential are your own fears, your own worries and anxieties, and affirm your belief that there are things that can block your good. The devil is symbolic of being caught in material reality, and taking it as the final word.
As you navigate the day, The Devil reminds you that you must fight for your life, and part of that fight means understanding that you are not a mere mortal in the general sense that you need not rely only on your senses to navigate so-called reality. The Devil reminds you to rise above imposed limitations on your possibilities, whether they come from family or friends, whether they come from social messages of propriety, whether they have to do with your inculcation by religious, educational or political institutions. Finally, The Devil reminds you that you're as great or as small as you are able to understand. You've been placed in a world which allows you the opportunity to discover your true being and the energy of The Devil gives you the resistance to push against smallness of your world, and see yourself as the grand divine emanation of LOVE that you really are.
