Tarot Tuesday November 12, 2019

Today is a very special day for my family. It is my daughter’s birthday. Still can’t believe how big she has gotten. I’m sorry about last week as my son who is still too young to go to school had his birthday last Tuesday. He was really busy and made big plans for himself and for me, it turns out. My whole household has birthdays in November except for myself. In two weeks it will be my husband’s turn.

So here is today’s card pull I am using the Mystical Manga Tarot by Rann with text by Barbara Moore. I will be doing a three-card pull and only pulling more for clarification. If you like this deck you can get it for yourself. Just click on the picture below.

What does the Universe need me to share?

First Card is the Queen of Wands:
Divinatory meaning: The Queen of Wands understands and wields her personal power. She draws strength and confidence from her will and does so with charm and grace, which attracts a lot of admiration. While very self-determined, she is not self centered and wants to inspire others to experience their own inner power and will, whether they are ready to do so or not. In this sense, she can sometimes push or control others… with the best of intentions but with complete disregard for their anxiety.

Advice: Know who you are and the full extent of your personal power and use it wisely. By acting from a place of power, you encourage others to do the same.

Second Card is the Death:
Divinatory meaning: Events have worked together to create the need for change - a type of change that is organic, a natural outcome, an ending to a stagnant and unhealthy situation. Change is usually scary. Humans prefer the known to the unknown. And loss, even if it clears the way for theoretically better things, is still loss, and it hurts.

Advice: Change is coming and it is necessary. Don’t try to stop it. That means acknowledging grief and taking the time to mourn. To not do so only delays the process and the eventual rebirth.

Third Card is Four of Cups:
Divinatory meaning: Oh, the ennui is so thick around here! It seems like you’ve been bored forever with no end of the tedium in sight. You aren’t happy with what you have. You aren’t interested in the offerings from charming, ethereal ladies. Apparently nothing will satisfy you. This isn’t always bad. Sometimes after a string of bad romantic relationships, family squabbles, or friends drama, taking a time out can be just the thing.

Advice: Take some time, if you need it, but probably you’ve been out of commission long enough. Open your eyes, look around and grab some of life’s goodness.

I pulled a Forth Card for clarification it was the Seven of Wands:
Divinatory meaning: Defense! Some things are worth protecting. In this situation something is worth standing up for… yourself, an idea, someone else. Whatever is being attacked deserves someone to watch its back. First of all, because the thing has worth. Second, because it is not a fair fight. The attack is either coming from several fronts or is a combined effort. Standing alone for what is right isn’t easy, but it is better than the alternative.

Advice: Know what is right in this case and have the courage to take a stand.

I also decided to pull a Fifth Card to end the reading which was the Wheel of Fortune:
Divinatory meaning: Time moves in cycles as we see in our seasons and in our calendars. There are some things we can count on to remain unchanging. In our lives, we experience cycles. Sometimes we are on top, and sometimes we are not. While it is not possible, in this case, to control what the Wheel presents to you, you can control how you respond.

Advice: Don’t let the vagaries of life, the whims of fortune, or even the steadfast cycle of life control your behavior. Your power and your freedom are in your will. You get to decide how to respond to what is happening. Make it a choice you will be proud of, no matter the outcome.

What this reading is telling me is that you understand yourself and the power that you hold. Changes are coming or are happening and you need to go with the flow of things. Keep your eyes open so that which you need isn’t missed. You know the right way to go and make sure that it’s a choice you can be happy and proud of. There is a lot going on in this reading as I felt that there was more to be said today.

For myself, I know that changes are on their way and that I need to be more present. To protect that which is happening around me and to be a part of the changes it will bring about the turn in my own Wheel of Fortune.
