Card 1: V The High Priest : Sage Salvia officinalise
The High Priest is among the major arcana cards in this deck. A strong yet peaceful priest stands among the pillars of sage. Sage is used for clearing/cleansing of energies when burned. It can be made into a hot tea and gargled with for laryngitis. It aids in digestion as a carminative.
The priest here is holding an ankh in his right hand symbolizing an inner awakening. A balance with feminine and masculine energies. His purple/blue robe indicates upper chakras, crown and throat. Great for clear communication and spiritual seeking.
Picking this card in the past position, could confirm you have a solid and clean foundation. Knowing how to purify yourself and your space around you can aid in keeping you healthy and positive energies circling about. Know that you have the strength and the spiritual inspiration to seek a balance with both of these. Moving forward with projects and business adventures you shall have a strong and powerful foundation set. Feel confidant in the coming months that things are on track.
Card 2: Page of Cups : Damiana: Turnera diffusa
Oh to the cups of it all! Representing water cups represent our relationships with others and our watery aspect of our personalities.
This young page is enjoying the heat of summer, chillin at the river, his cup is abundantly overflowing with life. As he looks to the west.. he sits in the green of his heart chakra, knowing that Damiana is a tonic and aphrodisiac for men and woman.
Picking this card in the now position, symbolizes time to take action. Perhaps you are easily excited about a new possible relationship, or you have lots of energy and or passion for a new project in business or pleasure. Trust that if you are calm, peaceful and know that the flow of your ideas will come to fruition.
On special occasion, I will mix a little Damiana and Agave tequila together for a great elixir in the summer time.
Card 3: IV The Emperor: Atractylodes: Atractylodes albae
Another Major Arcana card today, in the future position. This Emperor has a sword in one hand and here is another ankh as a staff. This ruler is solid rock! Literally he sits on his red rock with all of nature at his helm. He looks to the west and rules many lands with his knowledge to organize, and his ability to protect others. He is ready to defend his beliefs and nature at any moment.
Actractylodes is a plant that is a tonic, carminative it is a diuretic and reduces abdominal bloating and gas. This card represents Aries which is ruled by Mars.
Picking this card for the future energies might suggest you could be challenged with things that bog you down. This difficulties can arise if there is lots of ego or blocked energies in communication on a project at hand.
If you find yourself in this situation, perhaps take a pause and reflect on the strength and power you have to change it.
Can you give a little or change the process that you have planned perfectly out?
A little bit of mutable thought can help move these stuck energies.
Sometimes it's just about turning that frown upside down.
I've been saying for decades we have come for the Great Awakening on planet awesome, and what a wild ride it has been in 2020 already!
Wishing you all great health and wealth in 2020!
