Card 1

Message: Gaia and Prayer Feather

Gaia: It is her body that we walk upon every day, and the substance of our own bodies is the substance of hers. It's from Gaia that we receive everything we need for survival, which she provides for us abundantly, nurturing our body, mind, and soul.

She nurtures our bodies by offering the fruit of the trees, the greens of the Earth, and the air that we breathe. She also nurtures our minds through her awesome physical and dynamic beauty and, as depicted in this card, by the amazing colorfulness and diversity of the world she's constantly creating and re-creating in unison with us. She willingly nurtures our souls by caressing us with her blessings each day and challenging us to be better humans through her response to our attention and intentions.

Gaia also comes to remind you to nurture yourself and also to allow others to help you. Think about doing some beneficial things for yourself to assist your well-being. Allow your body, heart, and soul to be nurtured by stepping outside of any ridged routines you may have. This will open you up to some much-needed self-nurturing.

Prayer Feather: Love is flowing to you and through you. No matter what an individual is saying or doing, love him or her anyway. Gather your inner forces; silently and secretly love deeply and fully, with every ounce of your being, even if someone isn't fulfilling your expectations.

Your Native Spirit wants you to know that Feathers in native cultures often represent a connection with the Creator. Birds often symbolize messengers between the two-legged humans and Spirit.

This is your time to love and be loved. The love that you send out into the world comes back to you a hundredfold. There are times when the small concerns of everyday life need to drop away and be replaced by the majesty of your being...this is that time.

Clarifying: Victory & Winter

The Victory clarifying card wants you to know that your Divine helpers are present, bearing the good news that whatever you've been working on will succeed. But, the reality is you will fully enjoy your success if you recognize that you didn't get where you are by yourself. This isn't to suggest that you must diminish your light or be falsely modest in your achievements-not by a long shot! You deserve to shine, so please do. Your Divine Helpers simply remind you to be grateful and acknowledge the contributions of those who have helped you get where you are. This includes your spirit helpers and guides as well. One final word: With much success comes the challenge of standing alone in your light. Of course, you've heard the saying "it's lonely at the top." But it doesn't have to be if you remember how you got there. You Divine Helpers Message: "Share the spotlight."

The Winter card comes to you today as an answer to your prayers, your affirmations, and intentions are fully realized in the winter months. Winter is a time of completion, and this card indicates that your desires are realized during these months. In the meantime, just as the animals and birds make plans for the season, continue working toward your goals by following your hunches and intuitive guidance.

Winter is also a time to slow down a bit and get some extra rest. You may want to spend time connecting with friends and family or work on completing a project. Take some extra time to respect your body's needs, it is trying to tell you something, so listen carefully to yourself.

Card 2 -

Message: Lake & Medicine Bag

Lake/Stillness: The calm lake lies in stillness as the early morning light quietly announcing that night is over and the sun is rising. Welcoming the coming day, ready to respond with grace and fluidity to whatever currents and movements appear in its belly or upon its skin. All is at rest in the scene of this oracle card called Lake.

The tempo of life these days has sped up considerably, and there seems to be no end to this quickening pace. Immersed as we are in the technological whirlpool, there seems no escape. However, there is no need to be a prisoner to the "hurry up" syndrome, nor is there a need to feel trapped by the awareness of the collective intensities that massive numbers of humans are experiencing these days.

No matter if the noise is from your environment or your seemingly nonstop thinking, it is critical for you to seek stillness. Find it in your world, whether it is a special place in your home or a place in Nature that is far from human-made noise. Of particular importance is finding it inside yourself, which can be made easier by being in a quiet place in a natural setting. Doing so not only relaxes your mind but also heightens your awareness and senses.

It's in the deep, internal stillness that you find your being and come to know that you are intimately united with all of Creation. To achieve this mindset, you must slow down once in a while and get away from the surroundings that interfere and distract your inner tranquility. When you do so, this profound stillness is available at all times, regardless of the environment. You can experience this sensation with steady, conscious breathing; or you can simply pause for a few moments and be still.

Medicine Bag: It is time for you to gather your resources while being discerning. Vast inner power is growing in your life so step back and release any controlling thoughts on how it should happen and just let it flow through you. Also, there are times to let your light shine brightly so others may see you and there are also times to choose carefully who sees your true self. Choose wisely. Do not make any hasty decisions if it does not feel right, it may be time to hold back and wait.

The indigenous people used to carry a medicine bag pouch with small items in it that were special and sacred to them. The mojo bags were a constant reminder that great power lay within themselves. If you have any small objects; such as a found feather, stone, crystal or another totem, put it in a small pouch and keep it close to you. This is for you to know that you too are a powerful creator.

Clarifying: Pleasure & Son

The Divine Pleasure Goddess comes to you today to urge you to step into her luscious and beautiful garden and drink from her well of vitality and joy. It is time to relax, have some fun, and enjoy the good times. This is a reminder that life is to be enjoyed and not endured. Whether your pleasure is a fun day at the beach or an arousing sexual romp with your lover, take time to live life to the fullest.

She is here because as of late, you have not been taking joy in much of anything. Life may have become a bit tedious for you and too routine. Your life may have become black and white and full of gray areas. But, Pleasure Goddess is here to encourage you to put some color back into your life. It is time for you to indulge yourself with some delicious food, good music, and the company of good friends to have some much-needed fun with. Don't wait, it is time for you to enjoy some heaven on earth.

This Son card may only be for one of you or even many. If you have been inquiring of spirit about your son or a male who is like a son to you than this card is for you. Perhaps you've been worried about him or have felt a call to help him in some way. This card validates your intuitive feelings and asks you to take action in that direction. The fairies want you to know that your son is safe, happy, and watched over. Give any worries over to spirit so that you can let go of any fears and heal the areas of your wounded heart.

The alternate message of this card is for those you may have lost a son who is now in spirit. The fairies are letting you know that he is very fine and happy and he wants you to know that. Also, you may be thinking of adopting a boy or even a male pet. Spirit says, yes it is the time!

Card 3 -

Message: Forest & Grandmother Earth

Forest: As we make our way across the meadow to the thicker parts of the forest, there's a subtle shift in the sensations in the body, one that might initially be barely perceptible but soon becomes undeniable. It's nearly impossible not to take deeper breaths. The richness of the forest's oxygen, given freely and generously from the trees to us, is a natural exchange for the carbon dioxide we release every time we exhale.

When this card comes to you it is letting you know that you are breathing to shallow. Although it may feel natural, it is an unhealthy habit that causes shortness in breath. When you subconsciously shorten your breath, no matter if this is habitual or triggered by some event or circumstance, it activates certain physiological signals that prepare your system for "fight or flight." Another conditioned response to perceived danger is to hold your breath. This is your survival response, although it does not serve you to do so. There is nothing for you to fear, but fear itself which only comes from the egoic mind.

So. . . breathe! Inhale deeply, regardless of your concerns, worries, or problems; then let it go. Next, allow yourself to breathe a little deeper and slower a few times. Remember that every breath you inhale is a gift, and every breath you exhale is a gift. The forest is a clear reminder of how this works.

Grandmother Earth's Card Meaning: Stop and take a measure of your life. Assess who you are and where you are. Get grounded. Make plans for the future, but don't act on those plans until you are ready and feel secure in stepping forward. There is a profound source of strength and power within you, and it is expanding now. Put your roots down. This is the time of preparation and going deeper.

Your Native Spirit wants you to know: "Grandmother Earth" provides the trees, plants, flowers, rivers, streams, oceans, mountains, and valleys, and supports us all with her bounty. She's stable and strong in her devotion to us. You are loved, even if you're not always sure of it. Strength is growing within you. Don't rush through life, rather slow down and breathe.

The seeds that you plant now will bring abundance in the future, but only if you take the time to nurture those new beginnings. Take time to plan your future carefully and don't rush into anything too quickly. Security and protection surround you and you are very safe, so fear not. If you're thinking of making secure financial investments and receive this card, it's telling you that this is a good time to do so: but, it's not a time to take any big risks.

Perhaps you may want to deepen your connection with grandmother earth and bring security in all forms into your life. Take a walk barefoot on the earth and place your hands in the earth, splash in the river, and breathe in the fresh air. Imagine the strengthening, grounding energy of the earth filling you and your life. ;-)

Clarifying: Discipline & Business Venture

Discipline comes to your reading today to remind you that whatever you desire in life can be created, but only if you're willing to do the necessary work. The only path to success is discipline and consistency. There are no shortcuts and free passes that will get you there. Success is earned and your Master Teachers are helping you to develop a heartfelt and mature work ethic by getting organized and becoming practical in your approach to achieving your goals.

Take some time to examine your heart and be willing to do what it tells you to reach your goals. If you are not sure, then ask and learn. Seek out the help of mentors and guides who specialize in your field of interest. "Mastery in any area only comes from demanding nothing less than the best from yourself."

If you have been seeking a career change, and you desire self-employment, then the Business Venture card comes to let you know that your recent business ideas are valid and that you can trust your intuition with respect to your career. You may soon receive an offer for a new job, promotion, or another career opportunity. Take the time to meditate upon your true professional desires, as several options are becoming available to you.

Alternately, the card is letting you know that you will be very successful. So, do not be afraid to take action in the direction of your dreams. Spirit wants you to know that your current business is experiencing a healthy transition right along with "you."
